Music has been foundational in my life. As a baby, I sang before I learned to talk. As a toddler, I sat on my dad's knees while he played the piano and he would put my tiny hands on his and tell me the names of the keys. As a young tween I inherited my great grandmother's antique violin and learned to play it, along-side my very precocious 5-year-old sister, from a truly gifted teacher who brilliantly shone her light and love of music. From there, it was a quick hop, skip, and a jump to the viola and cello (and who doesn't love those deep, rich tones?). 

From an early age I have had the opportunity to study under quite the eclectic combination of teachers who have taught me everything from old gospel to orchestra to musical theater to Irish fiddling. This breadth and depth of knowledge has allowed me to guide my students down the path to the music that inspires them most while giving them the technical tools needed for a solid foundation in musical education.
